Holidays in Villandro between hiking, cross-country skiing and wellness

Villandro is a pretty and picturesque village lying on a hill between Chiusa and Barbiano. The Alpe di Villandro is a real trekking paradise: it offers a wonderful panoramic view over the Valle Isarco, as well as many paths among pastures, lakes and marshes in an unpolluted nature. Among the most interesting hikes we suggest you those to the small church Chiesetta al Morto, to the cross in Lazfons, the highest pilgrimage destination in Europe, and to Corno Renon, one of the most beautiful panoramic spots in South Tyrol.

In winter, the plateau offers wonderful trails for cross-country lovers.

The first traces of human settlements are very old, as it is witnessed by the broad archeologic site in the village, whereas the mine, which was one of the most important in Tyrol, witnesses how important the mining activity was in the area.
