Spormaggiore: the reign of the brown bear
Spormaggiore stretches on a plain with a wonderful view of the Valle di Non valley, at the beginning of the Paganella plateau, between the mountain of the same name and the majestic peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. Not far from the Adamello Brenta Nature Park, the largest nature reserve of the Trentino province, and from the Skiarea Paganella, state of the art ski resort and Alpine skiing paradise, Spormaggiore is without doubt the ideal destination for those who want to enjoy the mountain environment both in winter and in summer. One of the most beautiful, even if a bit difficult, trails for trekking lovers is the one taking to Malga Spora, surrounded by some of the most striking peaks of the Brenta Dolomites. Moreover, from Malga Spora start the paths leading to the most famous mountain refuges.
Among the best tourist attractions of the resort there are the Spormaggiore Animal Refuge Park, where you can observe close up the brown bear, recently reintroduced in these lands, and the charming ruins surrounded by legends of Belfort Castle, near which a well-equipped archery trail has been built.
