Destinations: Solda ski area

Skiing in Solda in the Ortler Skiarena

The Solda all'Ortles ski area in the Vinschgau Valley is part of the Ortler Skiarena ski area and its winter season opens from the end of October/beginning of November until the first days of May. The renowned South Tyrolean resort is located at the foot of the Ortler Group and within the Stelvio National Park.

The ski area has 19 slopes, 44 km of slopes and 11 ski lifts including the largest cable car in the world (4 cabins with a capacity of 110 people each, 440 in total). Skiing here means facing an altitude ranging from 1,900 to 3,250 metres. Solda guarantees skiers plenty of snow and a panorama that will be hard to forget. All around there are 14 peaks that exceed 3,000 metres.

Dedicated to families, the Solda all'Ortles ski area offers the Yeti-Club snow kindergarten of the Solda ski school, where you can learn how to move safely on skis or snowboard. For skiers in search of adrenaline, until late spring, you can tackle the slopes in ski mountaineering. An unmissable destination for all off-piste enthusiasts is certainly Cima di Solda at 3,376 metres.

The Solda ski resort is also part of the Skiarena Due Paesi. With a single ski pass you have at your disposal six ski areas between the Austrian Tyrol and South Tyrol. The areas between Nauders at the Reschenpass and Solda in the Vinschgau Valley have been connected for a total of 211 km of slopes.
