Skiing in Val di Fassa in the Dolomiti Superski

The Val di Fassa ski area in Trentino is a vast ski carousel inserted in the Dolomiti Superski that includes slopes for all tastes and levels, included in one of the most fascinating sceneries of the Dolomites, between Catinaccio, Marmolada, Sella Group, Latemar and Sassolungo. Here enthusiasts have a total of 210 kilometers of slopes and 4 skitour - Sellaronda, Panorama, Grande Guerra and Emozioni - divided between the Val di Fassa, Carezza and Alpe di Lusia / San Pellegrino ski areas.

The Val di Fassa ski area includes the following areas: Buffaure-Ciampac, Col Rodella-Belvedere, Fedaia-Marmolda, Vigo-Catinaccio, Alpe Lusia-San Pellegrino.

In Pozza di Fassa the Buffaure ski center can be found with the Aloch Ski Stadium, set up for training, competitions and night skiing. Buffaure connects with the Ciampac ski center that can also be reached from the center of Alba di Canazei, forming the exciting Skitour Panorama. From Canazei, one of the most famous places in the valley and home to the oldest ski school in Italy, you can reach the Belvedere-Col Rodella ski center, which can also be reached from Campitello di Fassa. Col Rodella is one of the access routes to the famous Sellaronda ski area.

Also from Canazei you can reach the Fedaia Pass, from where the connection starts from Fedaia lake to Pian dei Fiacconi on the northern slope of the Marmolada. From Moena you can reach Alpe Lusia / Passo San Pellegrino, which is then connected to Falcade. From the Vigo or from Pera di Fassa you can reach the Catinaccio ski area.

How to get to Val di Fassa

Getting here by car
Take the A22 Brennero motorway to the Ora/Egna exit, then take SS48 of the Dolomites, continue on the San Lugano pass leading to Val di Fiemme and from there proceed to Val di Fassa (distance 45 km). Or exit Bolzano Nord, then SS241 Grande Strada delle Dolomiti, Passo Carezza, Vigo di Fassa (distance 40 km).

Motorway A27, exit Belluno, continue on SS 203 for Agordo, Passo San Pellegrino, Moena or to Agordo continue until Rocca Pietore then from Passo Fedaia descend to Canazei.

From Val Gardena take the Sella Pass to Canazei.

Getting here by bus
Public and private bus service allows you to arrive in the valley, from where the bus service allows you to move quickly from one town to another. From the Trento and Bolzano stations, a coach service takes you to Val di Fassa. Three lines are made available by Trentino Trasporti Spa: Canazei-Cavalese, Trento; Cavelese-Ora-Trento; Moena-Passo San Pellegrino-Falcade. Two lines by SAD Bolzano: Pozza di Fass-Vigo di Fassa-Passo Carezza-Bolzano; Dolomite passes (Sella, Gardena, Campolongo, Pordoi, Fedaia) active only in summer.

Grantourism lines operate weekly connections from the main Italian cities (Venice, Parma, Milan, Cremona, Mantua). The long-distance Flixbus service from Trento and Bolzano is also active.

Getting here by train
The nearest stations are Trento, Ora, Bolzano. From here there are daily connections to the valley. From the Bolzano station there is also the FiemmeFassaExpress collective transfer service.

Freccialink is active in winter: those departing from Verona, Bologna, Florence and Rome by high-speed train, with a single ticket can also take advantage of the bus service from Ora station to Val di Fassa; and also the Italobus, which from the Verona Porta Nuova railway station carries out daily service for the valley. (the bus route cannot be booked individually).

Getting here by plane
The nearest airports are: Bolzano (40 km), Treviso (160 km), Venice (175 km), Verona (180 km), Innsbruck (190 km), Bergamo (280 km), Munich (320 km) and Milan (350 km). From the airports you can take advantage of the transfer / taxi or car rental services. In winter from Milan, Verona, Bergamo, Treviso and Venice there is the Fly Sky Shuttle.
