Skiing in Plan de Corones in the Dolomiti Superski
The Plan de Corones Holiday Area, part of the Dolomiti Superski area, is located in Val Pusteria and in winter becomes a true skiing paradise: it is no coincidence that it is the number one ski area in South Tyrol. Here a day on skis is perfect: 119 kilometers of slopes served by 32 state-of-the-art lifts. The long, wide and calm descents leave from the rounded top of the Plan de Corones and lead to the valley, near the surrounding villages: San Vigilio di Marebbe, Brunico and Valdaora.
Plan de Corones satisfies even the most demanding thanks to its 5 black slopes, one of which has been home to a stage of the Women's Ski World Cup in the giant slalom category for several years. The Kronplatz is also very popular with snowboard and freestyle enthusiasts, who have at their disposal a well-equipped snow park, with a line dedicated to families.
The Plan de Corones Holiday Area is connected to the Alta Badia ski area through the Skibus Piculin shuttle service which in 20 minutes allows you to reach this other ski area and thus access the Sellaronda. In addition, with the Ski-Pustertal-Express train, in about 30 minutes you'll reach the slopes of the Three Peaks Dolomites ski resort. In order to take advantage of both services and access the slopes of the various ski centers, you need a valid Dolomiti Superski skipass.
