Destinations: Merano 2000 ski area

Skiing in Merano 2000 in the Ortler Skiarena

The Merano 2000 ski area, which is part of the South Tyrolean Ortler Skiarena ski area, is located on the high plateau above the spa resort of Merano in South Tyrol. The area offers skiers and snowboarders 40 km of slopes of all difficulties, 9 lifts and 10 slopes, but above all the first high-altitude roller coaster in South Tyrol (always open).

To reach the slopes you have to take the cable car from Merano to the ski area dedicated to both skiers and families. In the area there are many activities that can be practiced: for the children there is the kindergarten on the snow and the Kinderland ski school, snow tubing, tobogganing and even snowshoeing or ski touring.

The "sun terrace of Merano" is ideal for those who want to spend quiet days in the mountains just a few minutes from the city. As an alternative to snow in Merano you can enjoy the warmth of the saunas and whirlpools in the Therme Merano or a tour of the Merano Christmas Markets or simply a good traditional South Tyrolean dish in one of the many restaurants.
