Skiing in Corno del Renon in the Ortler Skiarena
The Corno del Renon ski area, part of the Ortler Skiarena ski area, is located on the Renon Plateau above the South Tyrolean capital - Bolzano. This sunny plateau offers fabulous skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and tobogganing.
The Corno del Renon ski area is characterised by mild temperatures, wide slopes and traditional mountain huts where you can enjoy a good meal at the end of the day.
During the winter period there are also events and cultural events that enliven the evenings: during the Advent period there are the two characteristic Christmas markets of the Plateau, that of Collalbo and that of Soprabolzano, better known as the panoramic terrace that allows you to see the UNESCO World Heritage Dolomites (from south to south-east) of the peaks of Sasso Putia, the Odle group, the Sciliar, the Catinaccio and the Latemar group up to the peaks of the Corno Nero and the Corno Bianco. In the northern part, you can see the Sarentine and the Stubai Alps. When you are lucky and the day permits you can also see the Ortler massif and the Großglockner to the east. In short, whether on skis or snowshoes the 360° view is never lacking.
