In Selva di Val Gardena, snow becomes art thanks to the snow sculpture competition, which transforms this natural element into extraordinary artistic creations. This event, now in its 28th year, is a journey of creativity and ingenuity, in which participants create unique works using a material that is as fascinating as it is challenging. The result? Majestic and enchanting sculptures that seem to come alive in front of us. This event, which started in the early 1990s, is now an established tradition. For three days, sculptors and artists, many of whom specialise in wood carving, have fun modelling enormous snow figures.
This year, the competition is dedicated to MUSIC, in homage to the 100th anniversary of the Selva di Val Gardena music band, which will be celebrated in 2025.
A jury of experts will decide the winners, while a public prize will be awarded separately.
