Located in San Vigilio di Marebbe, in a strategic position with direct access to the Plan de Corones ski slopes and the Sellaronda ski tour, it offers the following services for an unforgettable skiing holiday in-house ski depot with boot warmers and one locker per room, ski equipment can be requested on request, in-house ski instructor (on request), info and maps, booking of instructors/lessons at all Kronplatz schools, weekly ski safari with the Call family and two guided snowshoe hikes and days on the slopes with friends. 

As a member of the Mountain Bike Holidays group and the Wanderhotels, it also guarantees a perfect stay for cycling and hiking enthusiasts by offering a rich programme of guided activities in every season. The Excelsior is located in the Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park, one of Europe's most popular hiking areas with a dense network of well-marked hiking trails suitable for both beginners and professionals. Mountain bikes (e-bikes for a fee) and hiking equipment such as rucksacks, telescopic poles and hiking maps can be hired free of charge at the hotel. In addition: hiker's snack, daily advice for individual tours at reception, shuttle bus, lockable bicycle garage with video surveillance, individual bicycle storage and lock, direct road access for resort guests only, chain locks (available at reception), service point with tools, high-pressure cleaner, hose, sink and washing-up liquid for cleaning the bicycle and free laundry service.

Awarded the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) sustainability certification, the Excelsior upholds a green philosophy through the use of local produce from farmers and meat from the family butcher's shop and the careful use of resources. The buildings are constructed according to Climate House A and B criteria with natural materials such as wood fibre panels, natural wood, stone and recyclable products such as iron and glass. No plastic is used in the hotel, for example in the bar drinks are never served in plastic cups or with disposable materials such as straws and coasters. All decorations for drinks and cocktails are created and made by the bar team. The hotel also provides 2 ECOGY charging stations for electric cars and the Holidaypass, the card that allows free travel throughout the region by public transport.

All combined with over 500 South Tyrolean, Italian and international wine labels. Vegetarian, vegan and low-calorie dishes are also available on request. The hotel bar is the perfect place for an aperitif in company and to enjoy the spectacular cocktail show.

After a busy day outdoors, relax in the beautiful adults-only Sky Spa, a wellness oasis suspended between heaven and clouds with a 33 °C heated Infinity Pool, an outdoor relaxation lounge with a romantic fireplace, a panoramic sauna, an infrared forest sauna, the spacious Fanes terrace with parasols and sun loungers, and a panoramic relaxation room.
