Malga Calleda

At an altitude of 1600 metres, immersed in the Dolomite landscape between the peaks of the Moiazza and the San Sebastiano-Tamer group, Malga Calleda is the ideal resting place for hikers on the Alpine Path of the Dolomites no. 1. Located above La Valle Agordina, near the Duran Pass, the farmhouse offers hospitality and refreshment in a simple and authentic environment, perfect for those seeking an experience in close contact with nature.

In addition to being a stopover for those travelling the Alpine Path of the Dolomites no.1, the mountain cottage is also a starting point for numerous outdoor activities. Mountain enthusiasts can try their hand at trekking along the paths through pastures and forests or dedicate themselves to climbing the cliff located right above the farmhouse. Children can discover the world of the farm, getting close to the animals and observing them in their natural habitat. Those who wish to immerse themselves in the life of the alpine pasture can also try their hand at the art of cheese-making, learning how to make cheese or milk cows.

The facility has 10 beds divided into two rooms: one with seven beds and one with three, with two shared bathrooms. The restaurant service offers dinner and breakfast, with traditional mountain dishes prepared with genuine ingredients.

The farmhouse is also a sales point for typical products, such as fresh and aged cheeses, smoked ricotta, sopressa, salami, speck, milk and butter, all made using traditional methods.

The farmhouse is part of the ‘Miomercato’ Farmers' Consortium, which guarantees quality and attention to local production.

It is easily accessible by car from Duran Pass, from where a dirt road of about 500 metres leads directly to the facility. From Belluno, follow in the direction of Agordo, then turn right for La Valle Agordina and right again at the crossroads leading to the malga (about 49 km). From Longarone towards Forno di Zoldo, take the state road to Dont, continuing on to Passo Duran, after which you turn left for the malga (about 30 km).

Amidst the silence of the pastures and the scent of the high-altitude meadows, Malga Calleda welcomes travellers and hikers, offering genuine hospitality and the chance to rediscover the authentic flavours of the mountains.
