Ronzone: hiking trails and museums in the Habsburg manor
Historical buildings, hiking trails and museums: this is your holiday in Ronzone in the Upper Val di Non. One of the oldest winter and summer tourist resorts, Ronzone awaits you for a journey into nature, tradition and culture.
Ronzone was a favourite holiday destination of the Habsburg court, that used the sumptuous Regina del Bosco as hunting manor. Today it is appreciated for its quiet and sunny position and for its hiking tours: the Anauni Mountains, Cavareno and Ruffrè are only some of the places you can visit, whereas in the town center you will find many sport facilities like the heated swimming pool and the tennis courts. On the other hand, in winter you can reach the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area.
Ronzone doesn't offer only sport activities, but also visits to places of cultural interests. The village is divided into two sections: the residential district in the upper side and the old town in the lower side. Between the two sections you can admire the new parish church with frescoes depicting the Way of the Cross, the old sacred building and the chapel with a wood sculpture of great value. The village holds the memories of the valley in the Museo degli Usi e dei Costumi d'Anaunia and in the Museo della Cartolina e del Collezionismo.
