On the northern slope of Madonna di Campiglio, at about 1900 m, there is the lake of the Malghette, a glacial lake which is one of the most appreciated destinations of the mountaineers with a great view on the northern Brenta Group. Its shape is similar to a pear and its waters are so clear that sometimes it is possible to see its muddy bottom. Obviously, it is possible to follow the movements of fish. The salmerino and the sanguinerola fish are indigenous whereas the trout had been introduced recently.
