A unique experience to fully experience autumn and its magical colours on the panoramic balcony of the Dolomites, the fascinating Ritten high plateau, which can be reached in 12 minutes from Bolzano with the Ritten cable car.
The Hirtensteig (Italian for 'Shepherd's Path') is a 3 km long trail around Collalbo through meadows, forests and alpine pastures, which features five themed stations illustrating the history of this ancient trade. Interesting from an educational and illustrative point of view are the insights into livestock management and the Rittner Alm (the Rhine Alp).
