Postal, hiking and cycle path

Postal is a small mountain village located a few miles away from Merano and from Lana. Rising in a sunny position at the feet of Monzoccolo, it stretches along the right bank of the Adige river and takes its name from an ancient castle. The surroundings offer a wide array of hiking and mountain biking trails.

Postal lies about 8 km from Merano and faces the village of Lana, which rises on the opposite bank of the Adige river. It takes its name from an ancient castle of which nowadays only the bailey remains. West of Postal rises Monzoccolo, summer tourist resort for families and nature lovers.

Hikers find in the surroundings of Postal a wide range of trails, such as the trim trail, the Sunnseitenweg, and the Graf Volkmar trail, winding through the forest over Postal. There is also the Val d'Adige cycle track.
