From November to January the squares and alleys of Ossana, small village of the Val di Sole valley, will host the traditional Christmas Market and organize an interesting nativity scene tour, both included in a series of events going under the title "Winter happenings...charms under the snow".
The village of Ossana has a long established tradition in nativity scene making, and this year there will be over 100 scenes on display in the yards, barns, and in the most picturesque corners of the village.
The Christmas Market of Ossana features stands with the best in terms of local specialties and handicrafts. Many will be the side events, such as the arrival of Santa Claus, pony rides, bonfires, Christmas carols and concerts, and a food stand where you can try delicious local specialties and warm up with some sweet mulled wine.
One of the main attractions of this year is the nativity scene tour: along the route lit by warm and romantic lights there will be over 100 nativity scenes made with fabrics, wood, corn leaves and other materials.
