The Alpenplus Ötzi Trail Run Naturno celebrates its fifth anniversary on 5 April 2025 and invites running enthusiasts to participate in this special event. In the next edition of this sporting event on Naturno's Sunny Mountain, runners will be able to choose from several challenging trails.
The famous Sunny Mountain Trail is not to be missed in the fifth edition of the Alpenplus Ötzi Trailrun. After the first kilometres on asphalt and gravel, the route changes to steep climbs and narrow trails. Here there is a challenging combination of climbs and steep descents, leading to the highest point of the race at 1584 m. After a short flat section, the route leads to the 1000-step gorge - a challenging climb with numerous steps and a suspension bridge, which offers participants a spectacular view down into the surrounding nature.
The Naturno Skyrace, 15 kilometres long and with an altitude difference of 1,150 metres, is perfectly suited for those seeking a shorter challenge. After a quick kilometre on asphalt, you enter the steep trails. Technical and demanding, the route offers participants a challenge through spectacular landscapes. At the end, a long downhill section takes the runners back to Naturno.
The organising team is committed to offering a variety of running opportunities for every participant. In addition to the routes already planned, additional challenges will be offered to satisfy all running enthusiasts. With 8 kilometres and an altitude difference of 330 metres, the Just for Fun Run is the ideal choice for those seeking a relaxed running experience. The route begins quietly on asphalt and gravel, before participants plunge onto a scenic trail, enjoying splendid views of Naturno.
For the youngest participants, the VIP Apple Kids Run offers a stimulating running experience, divided into two age groups: 5-8 years (700 metres) and 9-12 years (1,400 metres). The courses are enriched with fun obstacles that will test the children's agility and dexterity.
