Long but panoramic Alpine tour featuring an easy via ferrata between the Latemar towers. The tour begins in Obereggen at the Oberholz chairlift mountain station (2,100 m). Follow the trail No. 18 to the Gamsstallerscharte gap (2,590 m). Continue on trail No. 516 to the Erzlahnscharte gap and the start of the via ferrata. Follow trail No. 511 with a wire cable to the peak of the Diamantiditurm tower (2,842 m). Head back on trail No. 511, heading east to the bivouac M. Rigatti and bearing right on trail No. 18 to the Gamsstallerscharte gap. Finally, take trail no. 516 to the Latemarhütte mountain hut. The descent is via trail Nos. 516 and 22 to the Mayrl Alm Alpine farm and back to the Oberholz chairlift.
Helm and lanyard requirement with carabiner, sure-footedness and mountaineering experience.
