Route
By car, from Cortina d'Ampezzo, follow the highroad S.S. 51 towards Dobbiaco. Pass the town and a kind of a place on the right. From the next place a road closed by a barrier winds into a wood: here park the car and continue by bike. Enter the road with the barrier, and at the next crossing turn right. Some wooden signs tell you the continuation of the path, so turn left (1) towards Ospitale, and reach Fiames old railway station . Then pass the tunnel and a bridge and continue straight ahead to Ospitale railway station . At 6,6 km from the starting point turn left, pass a hut with a fountain, and after few lifts you will arrive to Passo Sonforca, from where you can reach Rifugio Sonforca. Now you will start the descent to Cortina: at the crossing continue towards Passo Tre Croci, on the right (3) along the S.S. 48 highroad. At the fourth hairpin bend (4) turn right and then enter the main road again till the crossing with the crucifix, where you have to turn right (5). Cross the hamlets of Grava and Verocai, and follow the path on the right (6). At the next crossing turn left (1) and go back to the starting point.
