A classic tour around the Latemar mountain massif. Breathtaking views of the Dolomites around Val d'Ega on a MTB. The area can be reached from Obereggen, Pampeago or Predazzo. It is recommended to ride clockwise, as it does not have any major climbs and is also suitable for beginners.
Cable car: Nova Levante and Predazzo - Gardonè
Seat lift: Passo Feudo, Latemar
The ideal starting point is the large car park in Obereggen. Climb up along path no. 9 to the Bewallerhof farm, continue along path no. 8 until you come to path no. 10 on the left. Go through the centre of S. Nicolò d'Ega in the direction of the Kobhof farm and along the forest road to the Löwen restaurant.
Take the direction to Nova Levante (1,192 m). Take the new cable car up to the Frommer Alm (1,743 m). Once at the top, follow path no. 1A or follow the asphalt road (alternative), which leads to the Carezza Pass.
The MTB route continues downhill along path no. 519 towards Val di Fassa to Moena. Continue on the cycle path along the Aviso stream to the bottom station of the "Predazzo-Gardonè" cable car. Take the cable car up to 1,650 m. Reach the Gardonè hut with the chairlift up to Passo Feudo at 2,000 m. Continue downhill on the technically difficult trail no. 504 to the Ganischg and Zischg huts. From the "Reiterjoch" along the tarmac road past the Epicher Laner hut back to Obereggen.
