A dive into Ladin culture with an excursion to the Ladin Viles of Longiarü: the Viles are groups of wooden houses or barns positioned in the middle of a slope.
You start out from the church in Longiarü to reach the "Ustì Vedl" farmstead. The trail continues downhill to the 'Da Porta' farmstead and the hamlet of Ties. Behind the houses, continue through meadows and woods to the group of abandoned Plan houses. Above the farm building, the trail turns left and leads uphill to Vila Laguscel.
Past the Laguscel farmstead, follow the path to the right that leads directly to Vila Vì. Then continue towards the Jachin farmstead and pass through the villages of Costa, Grones and Frëina. A narrow path leads to Les Viles di Seres and Mischi, close to the Valle dei Mulini and the lime kiln, where the road leads back to Longiarü at the crossroads.
Longiarü can also be reached by bus line 464 (La Val- Lungiarü), which takes you directly to the village centre, from where you can depart.
