The first part of the route runs through the Valle dei Mulini, a piece of Longiaru's history with its eight working mills. Next to the small chapel is the lime kiln, which was once used to produce lime. After the Speckstube Tlisöra refreshment hut, you reach a small bridge, which is the starting point of the Valle dei Mulini.
From here you follow the Seres stream past various types of mills: single mills, double mills and a rope mill (the so-called 'Tambra'). At the far end of the valley, continue left along path no. 4 to the Genova hut (3.5 hours), which is located at the transition from the Funes Valley to the Ladin Dolomite valleys at an altitude of 2306 metres. Staying on path no. 4, you will reach the Forcella del Sasso Putia, from where, on path no. 4B, you will reach the summit (2875 m above sea level). From here, there is a panoramic view of the Geisler peaks, the surrounding Dolomites and the Zillertal Alps.
