Hike from Moso to Val Fiscalina and the Fondovalle Hut

The hike from Bagni di Moso to the Fondovalle hut is an experience not to be missed in both winter and summer. This itinerary is perfect for those seeking a quiet and panoramic walk, immersed in the natural beauty of the Fiscalina Valley. The route lasts about an hour, with a moderate altitude difference of 100 metres and a total length of 5 km. It is therefore suitable for families with children, inexperienced hikers and anyone who wants to immerse themselves in nature without tackling a demanding route.

During the walk, you are surrounded by the magnificent scenery of the Sexten Dolomites, with the Sexten Sundial towering majestically on the horizon, offering a picture postcard view. In winter, the trail is groomed, so there is no need to wear snowshoes, making it easily accessible to all. Part of the trail skirts the cross-country skiing track, an area that must be respected without crossing it, thus ensuring the safety of all.

The starting point, Bagni di Moso, is well served by car parks where you can leave your car before starting the adventure. Once at the Fondovalle Refuge, you can take a break to relax and enjoy some local specialities, if the refuge is open. For the return journey, you will follow the same path as the outward journey, allowing you to once again enjoy the enchanting landscapes of the valley.
