Inaugurated in 2005, the route retraces part of the C.A.I. path. 212, which connects the Faloria hut (2,120 m) with the Rio Gere locality crossing the crest of the Crepe di Faloria. The trail is dedicated to Deodat Dolomieu, a French geologist who discovered the Dolomite rock in 1729, which he took the name of the Dolomites. Easy route of 4 km suitable for everyone and downhill in about 1h and 40 minutes enjoying breathtaking views of the Ampezzo valley. The starting point is the Faloria hut from which you can access by cable car or on foot. From Rio Gere it is possible to return to Cortina by public transport, on foot along path n. 211 up to the agritourism El Brite de Larieto and then for the n. 204 up to the refuge Mietres, or, still on foot, along the path n. 209, which follows the ski slope, skirting and crossing the state road that descends from the Tre Croci pass to Cortina.
