The Città di Fiume hut is located in the province of Belluno, at the foot of Mount Pelmo. The hike, which lasts about 1 hour, is suitable for everyone and can be undertaken at any time of year. The starting point is the third hairpin bend that climbs to Passo Staulanza from Pescul in Val Fiorentina. There is a large car park here. If you are coming from Val di Zoldo, you must drive over Passo Staulanza and descend towards Pescul.
Leave your car and take the forest road at the end of the car park with signs for the Città di Fiume hut. About halfway along the route you will reach malga Fiorentina and, once you have passed it, you will soon reach Città di Fiume hut at 1918m. For the return journey, proceed along the same route.
The Città di Fiume hut is frequented all year round and not only in summer. In winter, the path is traced by snowmobile and in autumn it is perfect for admiring the foliage.
