Primiero cycle path

The 11 km Primiero cycle path, which can be covered in 1/1.15 h, runs along the Cismon torrent and passes through the villages of Imer, Mezzano, Transacqua, Fiera di Primiero, Tonadico and Siror.

The natural environment surrounding it is very suggestive, amidst thick woods and meadows, beyond which rise the imposing Pale di San Martino peaks dominating the valley. The best time to try it is from March to September, when temperatures are mild and it is not yet so cold.

The cycling and walking route starts in the locality of Masi di Imer. Here you turn off the SS 50 road, where, following a short stretch of mixed road with little traffic, you take the right bank of the Cismon torrent to intercept the cycle path proper which, once past the village of Mezzano through a stretch of dense woodland, leads to the meadows of Fiera di Primiero.

In the centre of the village, where the Canali torrent flows into the Cismon, the track splits in two, forming a ring. The route passes through Transacqua and Tonadico along the village streets, then reaches Siror along the old and little-travelled road connecting the two villages.

At Siror, the track continues along the bank of the Cismon stream and follows it until it closes the loop at Fiera di Primiero.
