The Cross-country skiing trail in Prato Piazza, a plateau in the Braies Valley, is ideal for those loving height and silence. In fact, the trail is located at 2,000 meters above sea level, and it winds on the plateau at the foot of Picco di Vallandro and Croda Rossa, with a wonderful view over Tofane and Monte Cristallo. The ring is suitable for both classic style and skating and is always covered with snow, due to its height.
The trail is quite variable and includes some slopes. It is not too difficult and can be used from the beginning of December until the end of March. Many Olympic champions have trained on this circuit.
