The new Garda cycle path, Garda by Bike, is a cycling tour of about 140 km that connects the shores of Lake Garda and can be travelled by bike or on foot along the entire circumference of Lake Garda, from the Trentino shores to those of Brescia and Verona. Considered the most beautiful in Italy, it links three regions: Veneto, Trentino and Lombardy.
The track, which starts in Limone sul Garda, for the time being only reaches Capo Reamol, in the Brescia area, on the border with Trentino-Alto Adige, just over 2 kilometres, with a planned extension to 12. Work is about to begin and will be completed in 2025.
Once completed, the Garda by Bike will in turn be connected with other already existing cycle paths. First of all, the Ciclovia del Sole, an itinerary of over 2,000 km connecting Brenner with Santa Teresa di Gallura, in Sardinia, and crossing no less than eleven regions. Then there will be the connection with the Ciclovia del Vento, the cycling tourism backbone of the Po.
Lake Garda has always been a destination for cycling enthusiasts and especially for Austrian, German and Northern European cyclists. This paradise, which stretches between the regions of Veneto, Trentino and Lombardy, is famous for its views, the services it offers cyclists, its mild climate, and the other outdoor sports it offers (diving, kitesurfing, windsurfing, sailing, canoeing).
