The area of the Dolomites, a land of genuine and exceptional colours, flavours and fragrances, offers a set of food and wine routes that celebrate the gastronomy and typical products of this region: the Wine and Flavour Routes. These are thematic itineraries designed for those who love nature and its fruits and want to immerse themselves in a multisensory journey to discover the true flavours of the culinary tradition of the mountain peoples.
Trentino Wine and Food Routes
The Trentino Wine and Dine Routes are a real must for lovers of local gastronomic and cultural traditions, as they allow one to fully savour the culinary side of every corner of this Dolomite region: from the excellent wine of the Adige Valley to the apples of the Val di Non, from alpine hut cheeses to artisan cold cuts and organic vegetables.
South Tyrolean Wine and Food Routes
Still on the subject of culinary art, the South Tyrolean Wine Road is also a must-see. Thanks to special events such as the WeinSafari it is possible to taste all the varieties of wine produced by South Tyrolean wine cellars at once, as well as all the characteristic gastronomic products of this region: a true taste experience without equal.
In addition, thanks to a special project called Wein&Bike, which includes three different cycle routes, you can travel through the history of South Tyrolean wines while riding your bike.
Belluno Wine and Food Routes
In the area around Belluno, on the other hand, you can follow the Belluno Dolomites Cheese and Flavours Route, a set of itineraries guiding visitors through the great variety of dairy products in the Belluno area and recounting the ancient tradition of processing milk and its derivatives.
But the protagonists are not only cheeses, along these taste trails you can also sample specialities such as pastin, Sponcio maize polenta, the Cesiomaggiore potato, Allago lamb, Morone del Feltrino cheese and sweet honey.
