The Italian Touring Club awarded the 281 Orange Flags for the three-year period 2024-2026 during the opening day of the International Tourism Exchange (BIT) 2024.
In Veneto there are 12 Orange Flags, including two in the Province of Belluno: Borgo Valbelluna (BL) and Rocca Pietore (BL).
In Trentino-Alto Adige there are 8 Orange Flags: Ala, Caderzone Terme, Ledro, Levico Terme, Molveno and Tenno in Trentino, Campo Tures and Vipiteno in South Tyrol.
The Orange Flag is awarded through a certification process to hinterland municipalities that are able to express great excellence in terms of environment, culture, food and wine, hospitality and social innovation and that find in tourism a concrete opportunity for revitalisation, despite the difficulties due to their marginal situation.
