Two separate races in an idyllic location for cross-country skiers and a natural oasis for sports enthusiasts with extremely varied routes at an altitude of approximately 1,900m.
This will be the fourth edition in the prestigious Ski Classics circuit "The international challenge does not have the title 'CdM' but is in fact, with the participation of professional clubs.
There are 3 Italian events in the circuit that has always seen Scandinavian athletes, including some with a stellar past such as Petter Northug, as protagonists. The confirmed opening in La Venosta, will be the second location of the 15th edition of Ski Classics and will be concentrated on 2 days reserved only for the 'pros' of narrow skis.
The headquarters will be set up in Melago, where on Saturday 16, the dancing will begin with the "La Venosta Criterium" spectacular mass start over a distance of 42 km in TC and arrival, after an impassable climb, at over 2000 metres.
On Sunday 17, instead, we move to Austria, to Kaprun, where an individual time trial of 10 km in TC will start with the finish line at Malga Melago, to welcome the protagonists, at the arrival there will be the typical Venosta Krampus.
It will therefore be an edition to watch with bated breath until the end, especially 'La Venosta Criterium' as it is part of the '200 points' category of the long-distance classics. But also the sprint finish and the two mountain finishes will bring special points.
