The plateaus of Trentino have 3 modern and functional cross-country skiing centers, with trails of every level: the centers of Passo Coe and Forte Cherle near Folgaria, and the Millegrobbe center in Lavarone.
The cross-country skiing center of Passo Coe is included in the Super NordicSki circuit and lies 8 km away from Folgaria, in the center of the Skitour dei Forti resort. It has 45 km trails, divided into easy, intermediate and difficult. Some of them are FIS certified and host national and international competitions. The trails are 5: the first two are respectively 2 and 3 km long (easy, with snowmaking system), the third is 5 km long (intermediate), the fourth and the fifth are respectively 10 and 15 km long (pro ski level). The center has also a building with locker room, WC, showers, first aid, ski-waxing area, and you can check your cardio-respiratory conditions on-site. The center has a competition office and offers competitions management, cross-country skiing lessons and ski orienteering lessons.
The cross-country skiing center of Forte Cherle lies 10 km away from Folgaria and is located near the imposing ruins of the Cherle Fort, at an altitude of 1440 meters. There are 3 trails respectively 1.5, 4.5 and 8 km long, for a total of 14 km, perfect for beginners.
The cross-country skiing center Millegrobbe, on the Lavarone Plateau, is one of the most famous of North Italy and has hosted in the last 20 years the Millegrobbe, an international long-distance race featuring some of the greatest European champions. Here take place competitions of every level: regional, interregional, national and international.
The center has 35 km trails of different levels, for both classic and skating style. 5 trails have snowmaking machines, and there is also a 2 km long practice slope. The center is connected to the Vezzena Pass through an 18 km long trail of intermediate level and to the cross-country skiing center of Campolongo on the Asiago Plateau, about 21 km away from Malga Millegrobbe.
The center is included in the Super NordicSki circuit, has restaurant, large car park, camper park, rental shop, professional ski-waxing service, ski school, signposting and first aid. Non-skiers have at their disposal Nordic walking and snowshoeing trails.
