The cross-country center in Dobbiaco is considered as one of the most beautiful in Italy. In the last years it has hosted many World Cup competitions, as well as the famous Pustertaler Ski Marathon. Nine trails start from the cross-country center: the 5,3-km long "Saskia", the 1,6-km long "Lago di Dobbiaco", the 3,9-km long "Stephanie", the 4,2-km long "Ole", the 5,6-km long "Nathalie", the 26,3-km long "Fiames", the 2,3-km long "direzione San Candido", the 3,1-km long "direzione Villabassa", the 7.5 km-long "Nathalie" and the 10-km long "Albert" (their name come from the athletes who took part in the Olympics).
In this area you can find 120 km extraordinary slopes, and every year the popular Granfondo Dobbiaco - Cortina d'Ampezzo run is organized. Here, everybody can find the ideal trail, according to his own training level. The cross-country skiing stadium in Dobbiaco is ideal for beginners, but there are also many trails tested by the International Ski Federation where international teams often train. You can ski in the evening as well. The trails in Dobbiaco are connected with San Candido, Sesto and Villabassa.
The trails in San Candido and Sesto are about 70 km long. Don't miss a tour in Val Fiscalina and the slopes near the Sesto Dolomites. Another important area for cross-country skiing is that of Villabassa and Braies, offering many km slopes crossing forests, valleys and lakes. Skiing from Villabassa you can reach both Dobbiaco and the Braies valley.
