The official calendar of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games is available online

With 195 gold medals up for grabs between the Olympics (116) and Paralympics (79), 25 days of intense competition (16 for the Olympics and 9 for the Paralympics) and over 3500 athletes competing, it promises to be an extraordinary event. To secure the best seats and experience the excitement of your favourite sports live, it is essential to register on the official Ticketing platform by 15 January. Only those who are registered will have access to the first phase of sales, which will begin on 6 February 2025, exactly one year before the Olympic Opening Ceremony scheduled to take place at the San Siro Stadium.

The Olympics: 16 days of sport and unforgettable emotions

From 6 to 22 February 2026, Milan, Cortina and other renowned Alpine resorts will host the best of winter sports:

  • Milan will host competitions such as figure skating, short track, speed skating and ice hockey, with the return of NHL stars after 12 years.
  • Cortina d'Ampezzo will be the setting for women's alpine skiing on the famous Olympia delle Tofane, as well as curling, bobsleigh, skeleton and luge tournaments.
  • Val di Fiemme will welcome fans of cross-country skiing, ski jumping and Nordic combined.
  • Anterselva, the biathlon icon, will celebrate this discipline with a long tradition of success.
  • Bormio will be the theatre for men's alpine skiing on the legendary Stelvio and will mark the debut of ski mountaineering in the Olympic programme.
  • Livigno, with freestyle and snowboarding, will offer spectacle and pure adrenaline.

Overall, 116 competitions will award medals, with a focus on inclusion and gender equality: 47% of the athletes will be women, the highest figure in the history of the Winter Olympics.

The key dates of the Olympics

  • 7 February 2026: first day of competition with 5 titles up for grabs, including the men's downhill in Bormio and the snowboard big air in Livigno.
  • 21 February: highlight day with 10 gold medals up for grabs and the Figure Skating Gala at the Milano Ice Skating Arena.
  • 22 February: Finals not to be missed, including men's hockey in Milan, women's curling in Cortina, 4-man bobsleigh and women's 50 km in classic technique in Tesero. The Closing Ceremony will be held at the Arena in Verona.

The Paralympics: 9 days of competition and passion

  • From 6 to 15 March 2026, over 600 athletes will compete to win 79 gold medals.
  • The Opening Ceremony will be held at the Olympic Arena in Verona.
  • Milan will host the Para ice hockey.
  • Cortina will host the wheelchair curling, downhill skiing and snowboarding competitions.
  • Val di Fiemme will be the stage for cross-country skiing and biathlon.
