At the entrance to the Isarco Valley and the Ega Valley, Cornedo all'Isarco rises. Including the hamlets of Prato all’Isarco, San Valentino in Campo, Cardano, Collepietra and Cornedo, it is a true oasis of peace frequented by both lovers of active holidays and of culture.
The locality has several cultural attractions. First of all, its imposing manor, Castel Cornedo, which, built in the 13th century, can be visited from April to October with the guide. A visit to the Collepietra Museum is a must: here you can observe the mountain life of the people who lived in the area in the past.
Adults and children can get excited admiring the universe in San Valentino in Campo, where the famous Max Valier astronomical observatory with the Peter Anich solar observatory is located. Along the path of the planets, a circular route of 7 km, you can get to know all the planets of our solar system.
In summer you can go hiking or climbing on the Latemar or Catinaccio and exciting MTB tours along the Latemar Circuit or the Valle Isarco cycle path.
In winter, the nearby ski areas of Carezza and Obereggen offer perfect slopes suitable for everyone. There are also trails for snowshoes and cross-country skiing.
