Highlights
Varena, an ancient village in Val di Fiemme
Located on the slopes of the Corno Nero, Varena is one of the oldest villages in Trentino. Its center is home to numerous monolithic porphyry fountains, from which the best drinking water in the valley once flowed, and a beautiful church dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul from the 12th century. Surrounded by meadows and woods, Varena is also an excellent starting point for walks and excursions suitable for everyone.
In winter, the resort is 8 kilometers from Passo Lavazè, a well-equipped center for cross-country skiing with about 80 kilometers of slopes, along with a series of facilities, downhill slopes, and a snow park for children. During the Christmas season, the "Sulla Via di Bethlehem" nativity scene is worth a visit. On the 700 meter path you’ll be able to admire hundreds of characters and animals that reproduce scenes of the nativity and attend different events for adults and children.
Pensione Serenetta
The family-run Guesthouse Serenetta lies in a panoramic, quiet and sunny position in Varena, near Cavalese, in Trentino. It is an ideal starting point for your walks, horseriding and trekking tours in the beautiful woods in Val di Fiemme as well as a nice destination for relaxing holidays. In winter, the area invites skiing and snowshoeing.
The eco-friendly guesthouse offers 17 rooms provided with a bathroom, Wi-Fi, balcony, telephone and TV. At your disposal: private car park, reading room with a small library and basement room including a children's play room.
The restaurant, run by the hoteliers, suggests local dishes and Italian specialities. Vegetarian and vegan dishes are available on request, with special attention paid to the needs of coeliacs.
The guesthouse got the Family trademark, as a family friendly hotel: it is provided with peculiar facilities, in order to offer children and their families the ideal stay. Small pets are welcome.
