May 2020 saw the start of the first flights to and from Bolzano Airport. After the direct train to Milan, a long-awaited and important new service will make it possible to reach Bolzano, South Tyrol and the Dolomites directly and much faster.
SkyAlps is the new company that owns the Bolzano airport and has immediately taken up a project concerning connections between South Tyrol and the rest of Italy and Europe.
In addition to Olbia and Cagliari in Sardinia, Lamezia Terme in Calabria and Catania in Sicily, as well as Ibiza, SkyAlps is flying to Brindisi (Apulia), Brac (Croatia), Palma (Majorca) and Zurich (Switzerland) for the first time.
German tourists will be able to reach Bolzano three times a week from Düsseldorf, Hamburg and Berlin during the summer. For the autumn there will be a fourth flight to Hamburg and Berlin. In winter, in addition to Copenhagen and the three German metropolises, there will be flights to Billund (Denmark) and Antwerp (Belgium) for the first time.
Distance will therefore no longer be a problem: the Dolomites become an easy destination to reach!
