From 5 August to 7 September, Bolzano Festival Bozen transforms the city into a stage of excellence for international classical music. An event that unites the great masters with the best young talents, creating a musical dialogue between tradition and innovation.
The beating heart of the festival are performances by Europe's most prestigious youth orchestras: the European Union Youth Orchestra and the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester, both founded by Claudio Abbado, who have chosen Bolzano as their artistic home for years. Their presence embodies a spirit of cultural sharing and connection between peoples, bringing to the stage performances conducted by the most renowned conductors.
The festival is articulated through a network of events that involve the entire city: from the International Piano Competition Ferruccio Busoni with its Piano Festival, to the Gustav Mahler Academy dedicated to advanced musical training, to the research and appreciation of baroque music by Antiqua.
